Love this Game But??????

I truly love this game when I can play and the wife isn't around. But my question is how hard could it be to have different effects for ship damage such as huge holes in the hulls, I see the fires and venting atmospheres and electrical surges. I like to see parts blown off and see hapless Vasari or Advent floating in space after a hull breech or after the ship explodes. Not that I'm morbid or anything. After a lifetime of watching space battles from Star Blazers, Robotoech, Star Trek 2 Kahn, DS9 and Battlestar. Just wondering if it is possible in the Sins Universe....Bison...

Funny thing about that.. it was discussed in a recent thread, and basically IC said that they wanted to do something like this, but the ESRB wouldn't have liked it so they scrapped the idea because it didn't add enough value to the overall game to be at odds with the ESRB about it :P

Yeah Craig or Blair mentioned it in that thread.  It would be cool.  But I would like to see more persistant debris from ships...especially starbases and structures.  And maybe chuncks flying off as excessive damage is taken.

I made a post in beta 1 of Entrenchment asking for much bigger and cooler Starbase debris, since they're unique per grav well :x

I see the point. I know there are many who feel the same way. I respect your views.

But just me personally, I would rather not see the development time or processor time ingame devoted to anything that is not essential to the improvement of the strategy and tactics of the game itself. Better multicore use if they are going to work on something, IMHO.

Well, if you want to see helpless souls dying out on an alien surface... play Silent Hunter 4.

(c'mon, 2000km out, the ocean get alien really fast)
