Fighters, gather round as this is your day of destiny and my word is law in this universe!

You are here to enter THE DOME, because you think you have what it takes to become the ultimate dueler. Think again!

All you brilliant commanders strive by colonising planets and subjugating populations to your bidding in order to extract profits from them! Well not in my world! Here, you have NOTHING but the resources I graceously give you (20K credits/10K metal/ 10K crystal).

You world is a dead world (dead asteroid to be precise) already filled with various structures in order for you to cut straight to the chase! (structures include 1 cap ship factory, 1 frigate factory, 8 combat/non-combat labs and a Planetary Shield Generator).

One goal is simple, destroy the opposing Planetary Shield Generator which will open up the way to his heart (his Dead Asteroid) and when he does...PLUNGE THE BLADE AS DEEP AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN!!!!

Theirs no way round in this mmap, no escape! Once our timer self-detonates, your vessels may flee to the only path they have....THE ENEMIES! No bypasses, no blackholes to warp away..NO! Just a star to separate your two worlds. Use its gravity field wisely my slaves, as if you do not show tactics, you won't come back alive!

Hey EvilTesla-RG!

What do I do with the SoundEffect file you gave me! I know I add the gong and buzzer to the sound file but where do I put the soundeffect file! Furthermore, does that mean I add a new folder in mod that says Sounds?

sounds go into the Sounds file, just like GameInfo, or Sring, or anything else, so yes, you will have ANOUTHER folder labled "Sound". The only thing that should be in the folder are the buzzer and teh Gong

 

SoundEffect is just an entity file, put it into the GameInfo file

I think I messed up with the maps. I think I added WAY too many resources. You might want to double check the number of resources I put on the maps.

@ JaggedSparFel     OK! as soon as I get this issue solved, I'll go and try to find it!

@ EvilTesla-RG!       Right now I'm having issues with your sounds...for one I just spent an hour figuring out you had them in wrong folder! (should be in SoundMusic and not SoundEffect)! but now that all that is set, the sounds are applying in game! So question is do we really need the sound now that we have the countdown timer working at 100% capacity!!! ???

did you check the resourese in the maps?

 

no, we don't *need* them, but if they are working fine now, mise as well include them, it adds atmosphere.

Be sure to explain them in teh Read me.

Sniff....this music file is giving me more issues than I had originally anticipated! DAMN!

still have the Plunder to do!

BTW I went over your regular DOME map (the baby map) and yes I lowered the resources to the correct amount!

I am fairly sure that it was supposed to be soundeffect.

BTW stil cant get music to work..ive been at it for 2 hours! This is ridiculous amount to add bloody 3 sec sound on an ability :(!!!

Hell this game can so screw up when it comes to codding!

Thanks shadow, I'll change ithe maps right away.

 

I just tested my sounds, they work FINE!

if you do PRECISLY what i said, they should work.

FYI, you might want to make the buff un-interutible, that might be what is causing it. (aka, building explodes before sound can go off)

anouther thing you might want to do, is take a break.

But yes..sounds work fine now..its just they dont go off!! so I'll try making it uninteruptible! Hope itll make a difference

BTW Countdown timer doesnt blow up at 0hp....that normal??

no, that is not normal...lol. I don't know how the sins engine works, but it might not blow up untill the HP is negitive. (Does THAT happen?)

 

One thing you might want to consider, if everything else is finished(besides plunder and the sounds), upload the mod somewhere (I like MediaFire better than FileFront, FileFront has a tendency to "lose" things) and I can take over, I'll finish it up. and then upload it to Media fire, and give you the link.

Just extract the galaxy folder, and place it stright into your mod.

SOUND PROBLEM IS CORRECTED!

Now running a check to see if the counter self detonates (without using make dead line) at the designated time with the designated effect!

 

BTW the problem was this game DOES NOT allow a sound to be alone...it needs an effect to join it (in this case I choose sabotage antimatter as it has a nice graphic ;) )

 

Running test, taking a little break (10-15 mins)...then off to plunder ability!! Once thatll be done! The DOMe will be COMPLETE!

Its passed testing phase!

The gong activates 3 seconds before start of battle to alert everyone of the beginning (also because putting it any earlier cuts the sound since it has no time to finish ;) )!

ehhh........NO! lol!

But now that I know how I can easily add it ;)

 

Let me test Plunder (which I've remodelled and enhanced (at least by my point of vue) found some errors in it that might justify its lazy mule attitude). If it works, I'll add the second sound for timer!

You know I think problem with Plunder is its lenght!! maybe if I split it in two individual abilities (all sieges have 2 available slots so its ok!) might make it easier for comp to calculate! Cus right now I'm getting NO effect!

Plunder is a bust man....either we find an other alternative to gaining cash or we simply kill the concept for now or return to old one (my variant that we would nerf...)??

DAMN! well I gota go so I dont have time for the next few hours....the only issue is your plunder ability! since you have all those files neede for that, you just need to do it on your side!

Getting it to work and all, cus anyways the variant I was working onb is uber fail!

So take back your original plunder, divide it in two different abilities (one frigate and planetmodule, the second capital...) test 'em out and if it works well then you will have solved our issue ;)! Dont worry I'll be back in due time to finish it off!

I said I'd finish it today...early tomorrow! IT WILL BE FINISHED!!

Plus I WANT YOUR STORY!! lol
