Kasual--yes, my scores are about the same as yours too (about max of around 10K per 45000ish score). What *is* the silly scoring algorithm anyway? It's kind of annoying because it really gives you less incentive to keep playing.

Alex, thanks for the kudos. I didn't realize I was so close until I had #49 in the bag - then I had to do #50.

Jordan, it goes something like this:

starting from the current day, place your scores in 30 day blocks. So block 1 would be all the games that happened in the last 30 days. Block 2 would be the games that happened 31-60 days ago etc.

Now add up the scores of the games in each block and divide by the square root of the number of games you have played in that block. There is an aging factor that happens on blocks 2-10 so that in the eleventh block, your oldest scores will be worth nothing.

Why was it done this way? I am not sure, but I think it was to balance the fact that players who are amassing the largest scores don't run away with the points and leaves the people who play at lower difficulties can contribute and be competitive.

Metaverse Review Special Report

Before the ink was dry on the declaration of peace signed between the European Alliance and ANZAC Imperium, the bloodthirsty European Senate voted today to declare war on the Mid-Western Confederation. Sources inside the European Alliance tell the Metaverse Review that the Mid-Western Confederation represented the next hurdle on their way to the top of the Metaverse and needed to be dealt with. Anti-war protestors in Paris declared a "peace-in", but were quickly dispersed with water cannons and rubber bullets, by order of the Euro Emperor, G-Force. A demonstration in front of the MWC Embassy in Antwerp by an estimated crowd of 10,000 was told they should go home, since their demonstrations would do nothing to sway the European Alliance's thirst for power.

Meanwhile, farmers were scurrying from the fields to ready for battle. The tractors are being converted into tanks and plowshares are being beaten into swords. Stores are being boarded up in preparation for any sudden attacks by Euro forces.

Governments have issued decrees to their embassies warning them of possible hostilities and some have evacuated the country.

I am trying to get into Pro-ball. College ball is my passion. I just don't get how a guy can go down in ProBall, then get up and keep running.

I LOVE college football much more than pro. But I can't seem to shake the game completely.

The first pro game I watched was the '75 Superbowl between the Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers. My dad was a huge Fran Tarkenton fan, therefore my lot was cast. I must root against my dad's team - simple as that. Little did I realize the dynasty that they were to become and in retrospect with what we have been offered in Chicago as a pro-football franchise, it wasn't a bad choice.
