Disciples fans, you must see this!

I'm a big fan of Disciples II and am truly excited to see what they're doing for part III.  I just found out about a new six and a half minute video they posted on their site yesterday:

This ought to tide us over until Elemental launches.  Looks amazing!  I needed to DL it with a manager though, because their server kept crashing.  Unless you have light speed broadband you might want to do the same.

Ooooh, finally an update on their site. It had been a while.

I'll watch this when I get home. Can't wait.

I've played Disciples 1 & 2. I shall of course buy D3 ... but my abolute, top interest is the Elemental beta.

I've restarted to play at Age of Wonders : Shadow Magic, which might somewhat come closer to Elemental than HM&M 5.

Nice video, though it's scary when the devs framerate is so bad, but damned if that game doesn't look amazing.

also really looking forward to this one, but obviously Elemental is still my fav 'looking forward to' game . I've downloaded the dark fantasy setting for CivIV's Beyond the Sword. have been told it's pretty neat so i'm hoping this will help whittle away the time between now and then. By the way, 1) what's the ETA on D3 and 2) when is the beta? can't seem to find it on the site

Ha!  I thought the same thing.  I was hoping it was just me though. :P

IGN says Q1 2009 for D3.  I've heard nothing about a beta.

I believe they're already doing the beta, but you had to sign up for it months ago. It's not a public beta in the sense a preorder gets you in.

And the game was pushed back a bazillion times to Q1 2009, as Nels said. Here's to hoping it doesn't get pushed again.

The graphics are indeed wonderful, thanks for the link.

The gameplay is of course the key. How it plays and is balanced we will see.

I am still a lot more excited about Elemental, as Brad is the guy who can re-think gameplay to improve the genre.

Cheers
