Vista or XP?

Hey Sinners out there I have been following the Impulse complaints and it seems to me that those with XP os don't seem to be having problems using Impulse to download their games, however those that are using Vista os are having some problems, from my expirence it seems that this is a fact because my 4 year old desk top with windows XP downloaded first Stardock without a hitch then when Impulse took over I downloaded it without a problem.

One of my friend's is just the opposite though, because he has a quad core fully updated rigg with Vista os and he had some problems not only down loading Impulse itself but had a number of crashes, missing impulse components and what have you, so I have come to the conclusion that Vista which by the way have been causing some problems on my laptop is not as friendly to Impulse as XP.

I could be wrong though, so I am asking you guys which one has less problems with downloading and using Impulse, is it Vista or XP?:\

Also using Vista 64 bit; 6 Gigs RAM; Dual Core 3Mghz; GT9600 (512Mb).

I have also heard that Vista 64 bit seems to have less issues with games and stuff that the 32 bit version.

Don't know why that would be but!!!

If you search around various forums you will see people complain about issues with 32 bit, but 64 bit users say they are good.

Here's another big hurrah for Vista 64.  Been using it since shortly after release and, aside from some drivers not being updated (hardware company's fault, not MS), I've been running smooth.  It's way better than XP in my opinion, especially for gaming for whatever reason.  My wife's 32-bit Vista machine has had a few hiccups with some software, though not with any games that I remember.  Get Vista 64-bit and you should be happy.
