Go hit the guy doing this to me will you ?????

I kept getting this for a while.

What is it supposed to be telling me ?

It gives no indication of where is being hit, who is hitting it, and what action is being asked for ?

Can anyone explain this ?

It's just a general message from an AI that loosely translates to "I'm getting my ass kicked. Halp!" :P

Have a look at your reports for "An Allied Fleet/Colony is under attack"

means the AI ally needs your help. it's like the msg i get from them, it's annoying. but i nvr help them so i guess that's why i always get it. but we win no matter :D

Is there anyway to turn that crap off?

Nope.

Seems a bit pointless. Most of the time its Rebels attacking them, and they have enough planet defenses to take care of them.

I've also seen the case where the planet being attacked was wiped out, the AI constantly asked me for help, and yet the next planet along was churning out a huge battlefleet and sending it the other way. Could have redirected 6 ships and saved its own planet, but instead it tells me to go yonks out of my way to save it. Not very bright ! I let it be killed and then went in and claimed it :)

Basic strategy : Make an ally of the enemy you most dont want to have to fight.

That doesnt mean you actually help them, and any mistakes they make are yours for the having if your fast enough ! :)
