Conspiracies that were real?

So I was surfing the interwebs on my lunch break at work when I stumbled upon this article: http://www.cracked.com/article_15974_7-insane-conspiracies-that-actually-happened.html

Now, cracked does some funny stuff, and as fun as reading this one was, nothing compares to #6 and the accompanying "photographic evidence". I literally laughed out loud, thankfully everyone else around me was on lunch break.

Just had to share, for all of the other gaming geeks who remember where that shot came from.

Oh my goodness! I played that game to bits but I cannot for the life of me remember its name!? I just remember the icon of your character getting increasingly bludgened as you took hits...lol. I also remember the minigun :-)

I "technically" don't like FPS games, but a good friend got me playing that silly thing for a while. I guess almost everyone wants a ludicrously big gun once in a while...

But this Cracked stuff is disorienting. I haven't read that magazine since the early '70s, but it looks like they're responding to the "funny because it's true" movement that has spawned the Comedy Central News Hour.

You guys do know that most (all?) of those stories are pretty much true, right? I don't follow Scientology stuff, but I already knew about Tuskegee, the Business Plot, Guy Fawkes, the Hitler thing, the stupid install-a-Shah thing, and MKULTRA (the piece forgot to mention that MKULTRA helped spread knowledge and use of LSD :p ).

That's what makes it funny ;) I like the Cracked writing style, it's common among a lot of their articles of the same nature. They always seem to manage to put a nice comedic twist on things :P

The install-a-Shah thing is basically in every history book nowadays, too. ;)

i don't find the subject matter funny (sometimes very interesting, though). i find the writing funny. so i guess it's more of a "it's funny 'cause it's vulgar" thing for me.

That's original Wolfenstein. That shows him after you blast him out of his "Mecha-Hitler" suit.


Speaking of hitler, I was in Washington DC this past April sight-seeing and long story short, I came across a fricking Neo-Nazi rally. I flipped them off and yelled things like "HITLER ONLY HAD ONE BALL!!!" and other colorful things. Some of the nazi's even laughed at what i was saying. Most weren't pleased though. But I still would have done it anyway, even if 300 cops in riot gear weren't all around us. That's how I roll!

In the original he was the final boss at the end of the 3rd campaign.

Spear of Destiny was the expansion/sequel where they "the bad guys" we going to use the spear in connection with supernatural forces to revive Hitler and take over the world........O yeah nerdy
