Oh no! Big glitch!

:NOTSURE:  I was playing as Advent in single player, and had this HUGE fleet of 20 caps, and a S***load of Frigates/Cruisers, and saw some of my Ariea dronehosts doing a phase jump from right beside an asteroid. It didn't effect my game in any negetive or posotive way, but if someone could find a way to exploit this glitch, it could severly "Bother" online gaming.

:0 kwl glitch. I'd report it to Stardock if I were you, they might be able to put in a fix on patch 1.1. Hope this helps

It's not going to do anything if you can't re-produce it. Ironclad would need a save game or at least a replay.

you sure it is a glitch?

sometimes the ships go "up" to jump, if you'r looking from the top, it looks like they are jumping from right next to the astroid.

Actually, I think I know why this occurred.
When you have a huge fleet that includes many close combat, long range, and support vessels, both normal and cap ships, you can see that the formation is not only wide but also very long. If group jumping is enabled, they will maintain their formation as they prepare to jump. The rear ships in the fleet--usually the support vessels, like your Drone Hosts--will be able to jump from inside the gravity well. This could make jumps from next to an asteroid--especially a resource asteroid near the jump point--possible.
I don't think this is a glitch or possible exploit--if a player is faced with an attack by a fleet large enough that this occurs, he's got a hell of a lot more to worry about than whether a part of it jumped from inside a well.

How could you have more than 16 capital ships? But that's beside the point. Was it just the Aeria Drone Hosts that were phase jumping, or did you order the whole fleet to move?
