Where are screnshots stored?

And is there a printable hotkey chart somewhere?

Hi,
I've looked all over my Vista system trying to find where the screenshots are stored for SoaSE but have failed to find them.

Could someone tell me where the screenshots are actually stored on a vista system?

Also, is there a text document that holds our hotkey choices that I can format and print out?  Having to view them in the game is not a good option and I'd like to be able to set them, then print out whatever text document is holding them for easy reference.

Thank you.

Screenshots are located as follows:

Vista:
C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\ScreenShot

XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\ScreenShot

Please note that some of these directories are hidden by default. To unhide them, go to Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View and set yourself to view hidden files and folders.

There is a printable hotkey card available on the update page if you ordered direct or bought the Collector's Edition, however if you want one that reflects your personally customized key bindings, you will need to make one manually.

There is no such directory as Screenshot in the location you gave the path to.

I've drilled down to that location and the following is the list of directoryies in there:

AutoRecord-SinglePlayer
AutoSave-SinglePlayer
Galaxy
Mods
Record-SinglePlayer
Save-SinglePlayer
Setting

Do I need to make the directory Screenshot for the game to save the screenshots when I hit the prtscrn button?

This is a store bought game (best buy).

For some reason, my screenshots save to my clipboard.
What I do is: take a screenshot, go to a draw program, and Ctrl+V on the page. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to work, but it does.

ive also got the same problem theres no screenshot folder in there so i just made one..going to see if it works.

It may be created on first use. Also, some users found that Vista overrides the printscrn key with its own screencap-to-clipboard function, so they had to rebind the key in the game's options to use it.

Okay, I'll rebind the key because it's not saving them and see if that works. Thanks for the information.

Also, if I might make a suggestion for a patch...

Store the screenshots in an easily, unhidden location, like maybe "My Documents\My Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Screenshots". It seems really really strange to me that they are stored down deep in a hidden folder that most people will have hidden, in fact it seems more than strange, it's downright wrong to do it. Hell, even save them in a screenshot folder inside of the installation folder would be better then hiding them away in a system folder that is normally hidden from most users.

Update, yes binding it to another key did the trick, I now find the screenshot in bmp format in that screenshot folder.

Is there a way to make them save in jpg or png format by chance?

I'm not aware of a format option, but it's simple enough to convert them in mspaint or the program of your choice.
