Are there less starbases when you select- spread out star density?

just curious. I played one game a while back and there
wasn't many resources around. The stars were more evenly
distributed. Changed the strategy quite a bit.

Was this just an anomoly?

Dug,

Clusters (tight or loose) will restrict the range of constructors, simply because less sectors will be immediately "settle-able".

I have found the actual resources, however, to continue to be evenly distributed.
