Interruptable, Channelling abilities?

I'm curious: what are these in terms of abilities?  For instance, the Radiance's Cleansing Beam is marked as both interruptable and channeling in its scripts, but I don't recall any mention about what those might mean in the game.

Greets,

I believe interruptable just means what it says - it can be interrupted. For example, firing Cleansing Brilliance that should last 8 seconds normally, but in turn getting hit by a hostile special that disables abilities stops the beam in its tracks. This leaves the weapon having to carry out a whole charge cycle before it can fire again.

Poor Radiance :(

As for channelling - I would safely assume its something that needs the firing ship to be intact to continue, ie it needs a source and a target, rather than say a DOT which remains active even if the source is destroyed.

I'm sure someone can confirm, but I'm confident that's correct.
Cheers,
Mopy

Played around with some powers a little more, and I think Channelling actually means that you can't issue other commands to the ship using the ability without breaking the ability's firing. I used a Missile Barrage on a Mazra, and the Missile Barrage stopped firing as soon as I tried to move or tell the Mazra to do anything else other than spit explode-y thingies.
