Sins Expansion

....So unfair....lol

So I just read over at IGN that a new Expansion has been announced and all that...I just bought this game and now finding out that an expansion (which contains new factions, campaign  mode, etc.) is coming out later this year. I hate it when this happens...I don't care much for story modes or whatever in these types of games, but is it possible to give out the new races via update to those who already bought regular game? (this is like so unfair, lol)

P.S: I'm new here, so if I posted this in the wrong location just move it for me..thanks.

Why unfair... usualy, expension pack need the original software for run... expension pack are more that patch... expension pack are almost like a new game...

For my previous long tern game, medevial II, original engine was needed ( wich patches ) for make run the 4 expension pack ( America, britania, Crusades, Teutonic )... a lot of chance that a gold edition ( original game + expension pack ) with appear... price will be more high that the original game and maybe lower that original game with the expension pack appart since they spare on the support, manual, box, etc...

Update or patch correct mistake in the game, normal that it is free but a expension pack mean new creative work... and any work can have a financial value... let say that the dev work the next two year on 4 different expension pack... and you wish them for free... Maybe possible if you can assure that 1/5 of the world population will buy the original game at only 40$ during the next two year... hey, same dev need to pax tax and eat...

Oh, I guess I'm getting expansions mixed up with something else then, lol. And what IS with that achievement with the name "Space Ponies"?! It doesn't even tell you what to do!

Pink Space Ponies was a long-standing joke in the beta community, which received a nod in the form of a minor easter-egg achievement. Colonize lots of pirate planets and eventually you will "rescue" them from their dire imprisonment...

We haven't actually announced an expansion pack.  Only that there will be an expansion pack in the future which shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone. :)

Are you discussing logic with us good folks of the forum?

I'm sadly disappointed in you frogboy -- you should know better by now! Logic just doesn't work with us, y'know!

There's currently plans for at least two more patches, with probably some more. I wouldn't be too worried about the game being abandoned in favor of the expansion quite yet, especially since it hasn't actually been announced. :)
