The main thing to do is go to the Stategy First Web Site rather than a games modding forum board.
These boards are run by Stardock (who is the developer of GalCiv).
Strategy First is a publisher (it does not make games just publishes them).

Here is the link for Strategy First Corporate page which has a link to jobs.

You should also make a resume, maybe ? LOL

And when asking for a job, avoid "shouting," and make absolutely certain your grammar is correct. :)

You might also want to mention *why* you think they might be interested in hiring you.

Also (having transferred from Lucent to VZ the hard way because my sales dept. couldn't figure out how to sell anything I wrote)...

a) acquire (or create) your own website;

b) post examples of your programming;

c) direct any interested respondents there for proof of your capabilities;

d) wear a suit to the interview.

(Shocking, I know, for this field. But given the people I myself have seen come in for a position in my division, this alone warrants making the first cut when I interview the candidates HR has sent me.)

A suit for a programming job? What is this world coming to? Anything that grabs the interviewer's attention, I guess. I once had a potential employer tell me that suits were a turn-off, so I guess it depends.

You wear the suit to go to the interview. You don't necessarily use it for the job.

The main thing I try to do is to dress at least one degree more formal than the job will require.

I personally never had a problem getting a job dressed either way. It's GETTING that first interview that's the hardest part. You have to get to bat in order to hit the ball. Make sure your resume is FLAWLESS. No stupid typos or misspellings. Don't clutter it up with useless info, but DO go into detail about things that you feel should be highlighted. If you can get to that first interview, your chances of getting a job go from 0% to who knows? Personally, every time I got to the first interview, I also survived the last one. I'm not saying this to toot my own horn; what I's saying is that if you can get that first interview, your chances of landing the job skyrocket. (I guess anything is better than 0%!)

Not sure what any of this has to do with Mods, but that said here are a few links to some tips. Remember that three lefts make a right, so perhaps try all of the following:

or
if not, it's at www.computerworld.com/securitytopics/security/story/0,10801,64480,00.html
