Oh and yes. Yes, there is a conspiracy. Sins of a Solar Empire was created by aliens who compel you to play, to single out those individuals best able to fight their wars for them. The magazines have already been compromised by these tentacled horrors. DOOOOOOMMM!!!!!!!!

Yes! Aliens from Canada! :o

I don't see why everyone's jumping down Efexeye's throat. He's stating his opinion and didn't personally attack any of you and what's the first thing that's done to him? He gets a thread full of personal attacks against him. Come on guys, be fair about things.

His whole comment about the fanbois thing was pretty much spot on. He knew he was going to get your overreactions for his comments.

And no I'm not here to start trouble either. Don't even reply to this post, if it'll help things. But I thought it had to be said. So read it and forget it, or don't even read it at all if you don't want.

He's stating his opinion and didn't personally attack any of you...

Eh, he didn't exactly get off on the right foot when he preemptively labeled anybody who dared to disagree with him a "fanboi".

He knew he was going to get your overreactions for his comments.

Don't you think that was the idea? It's classic troll behavior: throw out a few inflammatory remarks as bait and then sit back and wait for the fish to start nipping at the hook.

He can have his opinion, but when he starts off accusing everyone of being "fanbois", well, that kinda nips civil discourse in the bud, don't it?

No, it doesn't. It's still quite possible to post a disagreeing but entirely civil reply.

"Sorry, but I don't think I'm a fanboi at all, and I don't think this forum is full of them. I've offered equally positive and negative things in my forum comments about the game and they've been well received, so I'd say the forums have a balanced perspective. I'm a fan of StarDock's, and I appreciate the devs and the game, but I'm not a 'fanboi', as you put it, and I don't agree with taking for granted that the forum is filled with them."
