SINS vs Mario Kart

SINS feels a lot like Mario Kart. There are different vehicles to use, and you can move them. There are also explosions and music, and coincidentally both games have 3D graphics!
Any opinions?

Well, now that you mention it!

I like the cute comparisons, marko Kart is loads of fun regardless of which version you play on.

Oh man, Sins sux - its just a lame Mario Kart rip off. Lazy devs!!! I want my money back!!! :P

Has 'rip-off' been a common complaint around here?

The tactics aren't nearly as good, you can't even play within 10 minutes, there are no monkeys (hello 2008), and they dont even bother to patch once a day!!  Come on, this is PC man!

are you kidding? Sins totally ripped off mario galaxy with the phase jumping to other planets.
and the other day I saw a planet called Illos, inhabited with the (v)asari *coughmasserectcough*

Mario Kart is not a real game. The karts are all different looking, sometimes they blend into the distance, and some of them also perform differently than others. It's also fatally flawed because those question boxes produce unpredictable power ups that make the game unfair for one player or another. The developers need to nerf green turtle shell spam, get rid of that cheap speed boost tactic, and give everyone equal access to the lightning bolt. They also absolutely, positively, life-depending on it, must add a ranking system with achievements, merit badges, pins, ranks, titles, little graphics I can add to my signature, certificates, licenses, bonuses, unlocks, and other things to show off my elite competitive skills. They must make these changes by yesterday or the game will be a complete and utter failure nobody will play.

I see what you did there. Have we finally drove you to drinking?

No, just liaisons with Master Chief in the back of a GameStop. :p

Nah Mario Kart takes way more skill than Sins. MarioKart64 has some of the best PvP ever seen!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to be drunk with Wii power when Mario Kart finally comes out...for the last couple of weeks a lot of my little gaming group has been pissing and moaning about the life lost to this "sins" nonsense...what a horrible game...we've got angry wives and girlfriends and mothers and fathers and bosses hell-bent on destroying our lives by "divorcing us" or "firing us" or "grounding us"

yawn

you can't win unless you give us something to take away the addiction...and I think Mario Kart Wii is going to be our methadone. This doesn't mean we won't break down and head to the park to get our fresh fix of Sins (you can't ever catch the tiger but man you can chase him to the Bronx and back)

Thank Hades, because I was starting to wonder. ;)

What a revelation today, to know that Sins is a 3d shooter.

I also notice Sins is like Sims 2.

You create places for people to live, you bring other people from other places of residence, and kill them in front of your place of residence.

I have had the strange urge to write up a game design spec for MySins, a mash-up of bizarre concepts. Ships floating around with green diamonds over their bridges, looking for other ships to build relationships with and bridging the unholy gaps of trust between worlds.

“I wanted to torture my ships so I built a solar system with no black holes. The ships just kept dumping their tanks in space.”

Something about trying to keep your capital ship crews 'happy' by meeting all of their needs strikes me as endlessly amusing. "The TDN Acheron is experiencing antimatter deprivation!"

Actually, I believe Sins is a direct starcraft clone. Both games feature exploitation of the underclass. While starcraft forces you to put them to work mining and building in dangerous, non-unionized conditions, sins masks its theft by making you *tax* the underclass instead. Ironclad cleverly disguised its derivation of starcraft by giving the game a modern, 3d graphical engine, thus ensuring that we'd never, ever draw comparisons to a ten year old 2d RTS, and discover the recurring theme of economic oppression.

WTF this is nothing like Peggle, I was robbed!

Dude's this is totally a rip off of ET the Extra terestrial for the Atarii 2600 >> This game was the mostest funnest game ever and sins totally stole their concept of using aliens in a video game.

But in all seriousness we all know extreme paint brawl kick this games a$$ any day of the week (hit the ign.com reviews if you don't know what I mean).

I am debating between getting Sins and Barbie Horse Adventure: Mystery Ride. I read on the Gamestop forumz that they are pretty similar except that one has horses, and the other is a Barbie game. I luv Barbie but I luv horses too! What should I do?

I heard lemonade tycoon was better......

Sins is missing something....easter eggs? Where are the easter eggs? I just realize I haven't found any in Sins yet, with the exception of space ponies. :( No funny horns, no rediculous explanations for things, no dancing ships....no easter eggs except for ponies.
