Thanks, devs.

Nothing much more complicated than that.

I've had a blast playing this game. Very much worth the money I've spent on it. Thanks!

Anyone else agree?

(Not seeing a post like this for the short sojourn that I've been on these forums, I thought it'd be okay to post a new thread that, quite simply and without any big proclamations or justifications, says "thanks".)

I really think IC needs a good friendly pat on the shoulders for this great game. I have played games many years all the way back from early 1980. I have tons of games – Sins goes clean into my top 5 list of best games I’ve ever played and still playing with great fun. Especially when I found out that Sins is so easily mod friendly.

I’m amazed such little company like IC could make such a fine piece of work – keep up the good work IC and also SD, your work is very appreciated. Please don’t loose your spirits because of quite many ppl seems to have pretty mush on their minds – this comes with the territory when hitting the “jackpot” – I really hope Sins collects all the gold in the world for your guys and girls so we maybe see even greater games in the future from IC and SD.

Also Agreed.

This is by far one of the best Strategy games I've played in a very long time

why do they need a pat on the shoulders? We paid for the game, they get the money, and we get to bitch at them! :)

I make it a point to reiterate my great liking of the game with every release, habbit I picked up back in beta ;) Through all the fuss on the forums, the bottom line is it is a great game, and it can only get better!

Thanks for the great game and all the hard work on the patches.
Thanks for caring. I have purchased so many games that were not ready to play out of the box. They have had serious game play issues or could not be enjoyed until 2-3 patches later. I really enjoy this game. Please keep up the great work and try not to worry about the trolls.

Heh, good with your smiley :) Imo all ppl earn a pat on the shoulder when he/she makes something great.

I wouldn't be here if I didn't like the game or appreciate the vision.

It could stand a few tweaks but overall, it's a fresh new product that's given me plenty of game-time for the money spent.

Good work. Bravo! I don't have a single complaint about the game. I see plenty of people in the forums do, but not me.

AI spams siege frigates? I spam Cobalts and hunker down. If they bomb me out so be it. It's not the AIs fault, it's mine. I should have been better prepared.

AI gangs up on me? I fall back to a spot I've previously reinforced and plan a new strategy. I'm working on a game now against 4 Hard AIs and have had many moments where a revert to a saved game would help. But why? Isn't the give and take part of the fun?

AI runs when outnumbered? I pinch him with my backdoor fleet and make a sandwich out of him. Or I let him run. His day will come. And after I bomb out and Novalith his charred worlds he'll have nowhere to run.

Diplomacy sucks? I don't have a problem with it. I make friends. I lose friends. In the end, I will conquer all. If you are going to pay me to kill ships of my enemy, you are my friend. You want crystal and I can afford to lose it? Take it. You stand in my way. Die.

Pirates caught me with my pants down? Well, I should have known they'd get me. Some modest defenses and a fleet on standby will fend them off if I ever slip up and allow them to come after me (unless I want them to...).

The fact is, I have no problem with many of the things I read about in these forums. I think of them as challenges. I appreciate your hard work to get things balanced. I appreciate your dedication to a wonderful game. There is a lot of bashing and whining that goes on around here so I'm glad that theRetroboy started this thread of gratitude.

Frogboy, you work very hard and you have patience that runs deep. We all appreciate what you and the whole team does. Kyro, you keep your cool better than anyone in this (or GCII's) forum. Keep up the good work, both of you... and the whole lot!

People only get upset about the patches because it is a great game if it was rubbish they would just leave the forums for something better!

To the OP, I 100% agree (with both your statement about the game as well as your reason to make this post).

Not only is the game a very welcome breath of fresh air in the RTS / 4X gerne, it's also a reminder of how polished pc games can be! For me it's one of the best games I have ever played.

Now here is a topic worth posting in!

Sins of a Solar Empire ROCKS!!!!!! It is by far one of the best games I own now and I personally feel that the Dev.'s would have to work pretty hard to screw it up.

You guys deserve freakin' medals or something! =P

Just spent 2 hours on reading the forums, trying to get an overview.
It's incredible how many people complain about "problems" that could be solved by just thinking for a second.

In my eyes, SoSE is the new Starcraft. I've never killed that many hours being drawn into a game like this. I don't care if it's too easy playing against AI (talking about medium here, haven't tried multiple hard ones yet), I don't care if some units are slightly imbalanced (until the next patch anyway), I don't even care if there's a campaign (although I'd love to play one).

It's an amazing game. And it definitely still has some room for improvement. The fact alone that SD an IC realized that makes this game so much more exciting.

Thanks, thanks, thanks. If you guys ever make another game, send me an eMail. I'll buy that one without knowing what it is.

Downloading will always get you the latest version automatically, there's no way to downgrade unless you keep earlier versions archived. If you have a disc you can just keep the earlier patch downloads and install from the disc.

I am very disappointed.

In myself. I had to stop playing because otherwise I will fail school. Can't wait for summer!

I too find this game a wonderful gaming experience. for all their hard work, and for actually putting in time on the forums, I thank the SD and IC folks. You made a great game.

I only play single player, so I can't speak to the apparently devastating and ruinous changes brought on by 1.03, but I do love this game. Love it.

This game is amazing. Number 1, lock on phasers!

Awesome game in all respects, I personally have failed at adjusting my PC to be compatable for multiplayer but hopefully soon I, or someone else can form an inclusive guide, past that this is the single best RTS game I have played.
