The guardians of the light, and servants of darkness expansions each include half of the original game, in addition to extra campaigns. You get the full game.

Just to make life Simple Here is what is included (Due to numbers of people asking)

Two-Word Answer - Every Expantion

Long Answer - Disciples 2 Ultimate = Gallaeons Return + Rise of Elves.

Rise of Elves is;
Disciples 2 Dark Prophecy Campaigns
Disciples 2 Rise of the Elves Campaign

Gallaeons Return is;
Disciples 2 Dark Prophecy Campaigns
Disciples 2 Servents of Darkness Campaigns
Disciples 2 Guardians of the Light. Campaigns

Edit: I do not beleive Gallaeons Return & Rise of the Elves are compatible with each other when it comes to Exportng Leaders. You can copy them over manually if you want, but if you complete Galleons Return, I dont know why you would want to export you leader to Rise of the Elves, but if you do.... Make sure you remove any Items that are not available in Rise of Elves.

Hmm Would I be Correct in saying that Disciples 2 Galleons Return has no Narative & Movies for mission breifing?

You would be, if you didn't select the "Movies" (or is it "Multimedia"?) option underneath the main Disciples 2 download. I've seen plenty of opening narratives and voiced-over mission setups.
The movies are separated out because they're a very large download by themselves and aren't required for gameplay, so if you just wanted to get started with the game on a slower connection you wouldn't need to wait the extra hours for the eye candy before you can play.

I have downloaded the entire disciples 2 collection of files from stardock (including the movies) and played through the Empire Dark Prophecy campaign, the expansion Guardians of Light and just started the Rise of the Elves campaign. While the quests that make up the Empires Dark Prophecy campaign all had pre-quest movies and voiceovers, there were no pre-quest movies or voiceovers for the expansion campaign Guardians of Light (which is actually only 3 quests) or for the first quest of RofE campaign.

Hmm, I am on the Third Mission of Guardians of Light, having completed all the campaigns of all races Except Galleons return and ROE.

One thing, Why can I shift click to get multiple Items out of a capitol in ROE but not in Gallaeons return? It is rather annoying having to manually drag over lots of heal potions one at a time. (I remember one map had 10 Potions, 10 Small potions and 10 Life in the capital!) I assume Galleons return is a lower patch version?

Order of play is:

(Gallaeons Return)
Disciples 2 Dark Prophecy Campaigns
Disciples 2 Guardians of the Light. Campaigns
Disciples 2 Servents of Darkness Campaigns
(Rise of Elves)
Disciples 2 Rise of the Elves Campaign

Hope that clears things up for you lot

They should REALLY note that this includes Dark Prophecy in total gaming net... This was almost a dealbreaker when it turns out its been there all along.

Here is a question. Is this one game from which you play everything, or is it multiple games and you have to run each one seperately? If it is one game, is it seamlessly integrated?

I'll look at the Disciples II page and see if we can't clarify what's included.

The Ultimate Edition is multiple games (separate executibles) that are tied together with a custom gadget we made. Please note that if you're running WindowBlinds that you will need to exclude all the Disciples II .exe files to get the game to run.

To be fair, I think the confusion is mainly a side-effect of the slew of 'standalone expansions' (/bites back aspersions re: flagrant franchise-milking) that were trotted out, but the 'all expansions' wording on the ultimate edition page is a tad ambiguous.

While you're there, would it be feasible either to clarify or reconsider what one of the optional components installs? 'Multiplayer Scenerios' [sic] includes the exports\*.sg files for single-player one-off scenario games - without the component, trying to start a new single-player scenario results in an empty dialog. Worse, since the tutorial is implemented as a single-player scenario, this also means the 'Tutorial' button on the title screen is non-functional if the scenarios aren't installed.

As far as I can tell, this is an issue only if someone doesn't install that component, but it doesn't do wonders for the old first impressions. Given the component's only 100-odd meg versus the gig and a bit of obligatory files, the cleanest solution might be just to roll it into the main installation; if that's not easily done, I'd suggest at least putting a note in the component description to the effect that it includes bits of the single-player game.
