Currently the highest known legitimate planet quiality is class 84 (35*(1+.5(LifeForce Artifact event)+.1(soil enh.)+.1(hab. imp.)+.2(terraforming)+.6(techs)+.15(Terraformer wonder)+.1(as of yet unidentified [by me] source)+.15(max. Planet Quality starting bonus)))

I haven't been able to build the terraformer wonder. How do I fix this. (Yes, I researched all of the techs and no one else had built it) I heard a while ago that you had to change its id number or something in a config file!? Can someone give me instructions on how to do that?

"Add another 10% because of bigshots partymix download where you can be activists that have 10%+ pq"

Okay, that's _WAY_ overpowered. +5% might be reasonable, but +10% is totally out of line with what you get from the other governments.

Best I ever got was 42 from a Precursor device, but I do not climb the research tree far enough to get any of the really neat PQ techs. Too busy winning with culture bombs to see nice tech. Perhaps I need to turn culture win off to see the upper end of the tech tree. The best PQ I ever got without events was only 26 so far.

Daetrinn,

While I don't really care for downloading the extra political parties, the +10% is powerful, until you lose an election (of course, I'd like it to be easier to lose an election).

Phaedyme,

As it is the election system is a small tack in the foot. If your pop support is low you just move the sliders for a month, take the election and move it back. It's really pointless to even have in the game at all.

How would you change it?

I have no idea, which is why I'm not starting threads about it, or really commenting beyond the simple "I wish this were like this." Would the game be more fun if you spent more time on the razor's edge of morale/approval? I do not know. Something hasn't been quite the same between my first two games (with harder-to-maintain approval) and the later games.

If it were possible to lose elections more often, the +10% PQ wouldn't be so unbalanced. As it is, it's far too powerful.

ThreeSpy, there used to be a bug that prevented the building of the Terraformer special project, is your game patched up to date? You can definitely build it with 1.02, I did so last night.

You don't need to cheat to get high PQs. You just need the terraformer, terraforming, an evil colonization event (worms, life force), +15% planet quality bonus, a planet boosted to PQ 35 through a random event, and you're set.

Man, I'm way behind the curve at a 37, and that's with PQ+15 and everything built.

Sounds like I need to swap my RNG for yours :D

It sounds like an exploit. :)

89? How did you get an 89?

I could think of a couple of ways to get to 89:

The terraforming techs in the library

Colonize, get worms, destroy colony, colonize, get life force, etc.

Unless 75 is the hard limit. In that case, no idea.

"Add another 10% because of bigshots partymix download where you can be activists that have 10%+ pq"

haha, u make it sound like a dance music CD :)

and for some reason, the game doesn't allow parties to give PQ bonuses :(
and yea, i realise now that 10% is too much, i'll lower it to 5% like suggested :D

but again, the game doesnt seem to let parties add PQ :S

and then theres the party list problem, the scrollbar doesn't work, unless u have a scrollwheel on ur mouse u can't see all of the parties

jesus, they need to add an EDIT option for ur own posts ;)

my highest PQ was 55, and i got it today, that was with the 10% starting bonus, the terraforming techs :D
