Frustrated already

OK.
I just got this game from Amazon. When I try to install it, it says enter the serial #.

What serial #?????

I may have made a mistake in sequencing. I created a stardock account and activated it. I downloaded the current stardock.

After trying to install the game, I trashed the stardock download, but I still can't install the game.

Where do I find the serial #?

The game comes with a serial number. Like other games come with a CD-key. Same thing. I bought mine online,so my serial was emailed to me. I don't know what else to say. Look harder? :notsure:

OK. Looks like I'm good to go. I plan to read through the manual tonight, although I think I've got a good feel for the game from reading this forum over the past few days.

One last, initial, question. How do I know that I have the latest upgrades? Go easy on me. I'm almost 50 and all of this doesn't come automatically to me. This is the first game I've tried to stay current with. IOW, I liked Civ 3 with it's faults, and didn't apply the patches. I'm ready to keep up with this game because from what I've read, it could be my dream TBS game.

Do I just log on to stardock periodically?

well i'm over 50 so bear with me. if you use stardock central and in tools select refresh application data and then look at galciv it should tell you if there is a upgrade available.

most important have fun. if you need additional help you can submit here or on sdc select chat and then "/join #galciv" withjt the quotes. some very helpful people inhabit there

over 50?????????????????
well I just have this to say;
GOOD FOR YOU! Play on! I'm over 50 and like to freak out the kids at EBX (not the kiddies buying xbox and PS2 games.) They think I'm buying games for my kids (or grandkids) but the jokes on them. I've sold all my kids for medical experiments. Should have used EBay though because i could have gotten more than they were worth. Har just kidding.
Now I know I'm not alone in this world.
Cheers

Is there any way to see the results of the Age poll other than voting in it? When i voted in it, 22-28 was larger than under 15 and 16-21 combined, and 29-35 wasn't far behind. My age range (36-50) was lagging a little, but still a good showing.

Hey! I am over 55. Looks like we 'old timers' from the pre Sputnik era still have that fascination with space. I have MOO 3 as well, both games are great!! (Or should that be greyed!!) LOL
