Feelings and a question
from
Stardock Forums
Okay, so, I don't have much time or money for gaming since my son was born... but when I saw GalCiv in the local discount bin, I remembered the hype about it and decided to pick it up. I installed it the next day, and two days later actually got time to play for a little bit...
I' like to say "Wow." This is the first game that has managed to re-create the feeling I had when I played my first game of Master of Orion. Everything shiny and new and fun to explore. Big props to the design team, it's hard to evoke a sense of 'wow' in this jaded gamer.
Now, the question: Is there a way to download the patches for GalCiv other than Stardock? The computer I installed the game on has no net access, and I can't install software on my work PC -- I need to be able to download the patch via a website and put it on a flashdrive to bring home. I can't seem to find a way to do that -- is it possible?
