#2 PC seller in the North America according to Gamasutra

Who woulda thunk it?

http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/column_index.php?story=8815
"North America: 1. The Orange Box (EA Games), 2. Sins of a Solar Empire (Stardock), 3. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Activision), 4. The Sims: Castaway Stories (EA Games), 5. SimCity 4: Deluxe Edition (EA Games)."

Not a bad start for a first week.  :)

"After leaving North America's chart briefly in previous weeks, The Orange Box takes top honors in this week's results after a "Deal of the Day" price drop at Amazon. Price drops also bring The Sims: Castaway Stories and SimCity 4: Deluxe Edition back into chart territory. Among retail-priced software, the recently released Sins of a Solar Empire manages to triumph over Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and could prove to be a strong chart contender in future weeks as well."

I wonder how many units were actually sold?

Sadly I posted this several days ago. But no one noticed it. I think SD/IC needs to create a News Tip forum for us to post such things in so they dont get lost in the traffic.

I own 1,2,&5 in that list. Doubt I'd get sims stories or CoD4. I like regular sims 2, but stories doesnt look appealing to me and castaway stories didnt get great reviews, so the price will have to greatly drop if I am to even consider it. CoD4... I'm not a big FPS fan. Orange box was the first FPS I've played in many years and, while I enjoyed those games, it will be another half decade or so before I feel the urge to play an FPS again.

So yeah, just felt I'd add to the convo :)

I think the most amazing part of this is that Simcity 4 is like 3 years old and still selling that well?

So why the hell did EA fuck up Simcity "5" so bad?

RRGh.
