Stargate Invasion is a total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment and Diplomacy . As of this time, there is no FINAL release date yet for this mod.

  

 

The mod will be built in 2 halves.  The first is the Pegasus side, I.E. Humans, Wraith and Asurans, with the Pirates being a classified race at the moment.  The second part of the mod, will add in the Asgard and Goa'uld races to the mix, we will even be creating a separate version of the mod as well, which will just be Humans, Asgard and Goa'uld, with the Lucien Alliance as the Pirates for that half.

UPDATE: I have started the work on the textures after adding in all of the antennas for the 304, but Im actually here to tell you that for the next week Im on vacation and probably wont be working on the mod. I am going out of town for a few days and probably wont be bringing my laptop, even though my files are on my desktop. I have my laptop with the texture file I am making, so if I find some time to work on it, I will... but there will be no updates during that time.

hey all
just a thought but for the human faction would it be posssible to make there heavyer ship classes like the capital ship and battleships be re-fit go'uld motherships and atlantian battleships and stuff alone those lines. because in the show the only ships they have are the x-302 and x-303. hop you read my input and hop you keep up the good work

Hmm, so the mod is including Tauri, Wraith and Alteran? I think it would be better to think of Alterans as Pegasus Replicators, that way all races are in some way antagonistic to the others.
How big are battles expected to be? I say this because, with the exception of Jaffa based battles, there are generally less than 5 ships involved at once. There have only been like 4 Daedalus class cruisers, so these should be both expensive and take a long time to build, perhaps with high supply costs, if the mod is going to be faithful.
Wraith crusiers also should be rare; less so than earth ships certainly, but there should be an emphasis on the fact that they cannot be replaced.
Of all your proposed races, the replicators would have the most easily built ships, but at the same time the most powerful; how are you plannning to balance this?
I also think for this reason it would be smart to include the Jaffa, as a weaker race with far more ships at their disposal.
Planets; the series suggests that of all your races, none of them actually colonise; the Wraith raid for humans, the replicators consume everything, and the Tauri attempt to collect interesting technology or create trade relations. How do you plan to make this work?
I do hope you take the time to read this and answer someone who is actually interested in the mod, rather than dismissing it as too many words.

dude this is awesome this game is getting modes from all the best shows. if they all get done and work right this game will be my favorite for a LONG time to come.

is there any chance you will be adding a ancient, azgared or ori ship?

As for the replicators, a balancing thing could be the fact that they really only use drones (cap ships anyways) so they would take a lot more time to fire and refire after each salvo of drones?

Ok people this isnt really that hard lets see here there are 3 yes 3 and one more time thats3 just for those here who like colors, these races include TAURI (HUMANS), and agian in caps for the special people here who dont understand, ASURANS (ANCIENT REPLICATORS), and finally WRAITH, yes thats right kiddies WRAITH and once agian WRAITH. ok i know everyone and there mother loves to back seat mod but for now Sins supports 3 races so until that changes lets recap HUMANS, ASURANS, WRAITH, o and it takes place in PEGASUS not MILKYWAY so GOA'ULD, TOKRA, JAFFA or any varietion of such are not included WHAT A SHOCKER RIGHT!?!!?!? ok now that im done u can argue amoungst urself agian

heh, alright. i know not alot of you know me, and so may harshly scrutenize me for this. but (and this gos to those who post sencless crap that has nothing to do with the mod at hand) are you stupid, can you not read? its a big, long intor telling about this mod ant these people dont wanna listen or just dont read it im guessing. This mod was made to be the pegasus galaxy from stargate atlantis. not sg1. it pains me to see that kind of blatent stupididy. now im not saying you dont have a good idea for a mod...but not this mod. put a post up, make a request. maybe someone will make the mod if the request is put in its proper place. but that is clearly not here. Eomega has been working his butt off making this. he shouldnt have to take the extra time to make a post correcting others for what they should already know! and hes done a damn good job on the work and keeping us all updated i think. I agree with Lord_Set when i say that it shouldnt come as a shocker to you. so go ahead, argue about my post , hate me or think im too noobish to pay atention to if you want. im not gonna care. im here for Eomega, not you! that said, hopefully i wont have to post another rant such as this. to those who have been with this mod, giving your support and understanding, i thank you. you guys (and gals) are awesome.

A heads up - SoaSE supports any number of races you want. There is no hardcoded limit. The only limit is how much work you want to put in. ;)

My previous post was perhaps not clear, I was really trying to ask how you're going to implement capturing planets as the current system doesn't suit the Stargate universe, and also the kind of ship numbers we can expect; will we be limited to small numbers of Tauri ships, or as many as we want?
I have every respect to you for doing this, I know I don't currently have the time to have a go at modding Sins and I'm glad there are people that want to make a mod, I'm just interested in what we might be seeing when it gets released.

As a matter of fact, it is stated that EO will be sticking with only pegasus races for now within the first page.

OK everyone, I just got back from my vacation, to find out that people have been spamming the thread... and that bugs me a bit, but Im keeping my cool. Ok now, just so everyone is clear, I have updated the thread to show that the team is indeed only working on Stargate Atlantis mod for NOW, but we will be adding in the Free Jaffa, Lucian Alliance, and maybe the Asgard, not fully sure just yet. I worked on the BC-304, but not enough to show her off. Im not going to sit here and rant about how people dont read the full thread before they post, as it is my fault that I didnt have the main post updated to show that the mod is Pegasus races only for the time being, but now it shows it so there should be no confusion from now on.

Id just like to say that this mod looks good and i hope all goes well, i'd offer help but im not a moder or anything im just a regular stargate fan. On that note i think its cool your just doing Atlantis for now, atlantis has'nt gotten nearly enough attention in mods in the past cause its so much newer and less developed. But in my opinion its the better one for a space stratergy like sins, mainly due to more ship battles (having said after stopped watching SG1 at end of season 8, dont see the point in starting a new arc thats not gunna get finished)

The models look good cant wait to see them properly skinned and implimented into the mod. If you want any testers give us a shout at [email protected], i was formerly the map maker and story editor for Gundam Legacy for Empire at war. If there are map makers for sins i could start playing around with them if you want a hand in that department just email me with the subject Sins Mod.

Other then that good work guys keep it up hope to see a release asap.
