Guys,I have been playing some sort of electronic game since Pong. I have always been a fan of space games. And really had an addiction to Master of Orion back in the day. This game however different has brought back that old feeling, thank you!

And being spoiled because of GC2, in a expansion or when ever, please make a ship creator or design tool. If there is one, please throw it my way. Thanks again.

Masters of Orion was my favorite game for both me and my mother. We would play Rock Paper Scissors to see who would get to play the game that day, and I would usually win 9/10 times.

For the average 3d artist, I recommend Blender.
While maya does have a PLE (personnel learning edition) that is free, it has many of it's main features removed, and a very annoying watermark. Take a slightly transparent picture and put it on your monitor; now try to work with it on there. That's what it's like using PLE.

There's also 3dmax, which most gamers use for modeling. I've tried it, but couldn't get used to it. Maya all the way man!

So; if pirating/buying an extremely expensive tool doesn't bother you, get 3dmax, but I prefer Maya.
