Names in the Empire Tree please?

Can you put in an option to put the names of planets in the empire tree? I just look at the thing and I have no idea where I am. And how about making it so it doesn't hopscotch scroll around when your fleet moves, or at least having the option to do that? Maybe I just want to look at the top of the tree or something.

The auto-scrolling during fights is sometimes annoying. A option to keep the selected fleet (or the system containing it) in the viewarea would be nice.

Hi Tarlss, you have two options.  

1)Hold down 'ALT' to see the names temporarily

2)Go to MENU > Options > UI > and turn on the names :)

Already set up. What you want is the locked camera mode.  Look at the top of the UI ...slightly left of center. Click the camera and you should be all set.

Craig, I don't think zoom-to-center is what he wanted...

That said, if your screen is following a unit, just move your mouse to the edge of it for a second to "pan" the map, and that will break the auto-follow.

Oh no, I meant I don't want the empire tree to move around of it's own voalition, which it sometimes does.

I meant the list of ships and planets on the left side of the screen. If you select a ship or if ships move in/out of a system the list scrolls around sometimes and you have to scroll with mousewheel (or click on the scrollbar) to get back to your ships (to see their status for example or select one of them).
