Interesting. I wonder if that, combined with one of the Vasari techs, might make for an exploit. Get an observer working with you, pass them all your credits, make sure you have that advanced bounty hunting thing on and then when you attack have the observer put a high bounty on your target.

oh to make it clear for IC, I surrendered (not quit) and then used the option "keep playing", now while you have disabled all empire/chat functions, the diplomacy window still needs to be fully disabled (no money transfer) and the bounty/market window (yes as an observer I could sell ore).

hopefully will be changed by 1.02/03

When I lose, I usually keep playing, sell all of my remaining metal and crystal, and spend all of my cash on a huge pirate bounty for revenge against the AI that defeated me.
