things i think can be improved feel free to brainstorm with me :D

first of all this game is really amazing , never saw such a stable well made release well done.

some things i think should be improved in future patches...

1. maybe add a timer to the current research insted of that yellow line , gives u more of a sense of time when it will be over and sometimes i have trouble seeing the yellow prograss line althoughter (maybe its just me)

2. beeing able to rearrange the queue order of the research , what happens now is i queue stuff and as the game prograsses i need to change the queue order.. i think it will be nice to have an option to pause the current research , reserach something else then resume the first reserach..

as it is now all i can do is right click and cancell the res which wastes loads of time.

3. in multiplayer games if someone pauses ..it is not possible to chat will paused..so if i pause and i want to chat "ok i'm back lets resume" .. i cant i need to unpause it first which kinda nullifies the message at all.

4. improve diplomacy , as it is now there is hardly any diplomacy at all...maybe somewhere along the lines of galactic civ 2...

5. since alot of ppl are saying the pirates are annoying maybe have a on/off button 4 pirates in the map settings b4 starting a game...

6. improve tutorials 4 new players.

thats it 4 now .. plz add improvments if u wish but dont post stuff like "the AI is too hard nerf it" .. if so then u can say "make the Ai more diverse so u can have more then easy medium hard AI...

also try not to post " add a super doper mega weapon which will melt the screen in one big bang"...

this is an improvment post not new cool feature post...

love the game too, so far. two things i´d like to see besides doing something about the siege spam issue which obviously is gonna get fixed already.

1. AI-Missions: Who the hell are they to give me missions? I dont want them, and i wont do them. Cant we just buy their friendship/get standing by killing their enemies?This is bad for gameplay, because it ruins all relations with the AI in the long run.
And its also very annoying to hear the AI constantly bickering "your lack of commitment will not go unpunished!".

2. Highscore/Hall of Fame
This was a part of (almost?) every 4x game i played, and since Sins has no campaign (which i dont mind at all), it would be nice to have some reminder of glorious victories in the past. Just add a score screen to the statistics after the game is over and a "Hall of Fame" button to the main menu.
(if this exist and i didnt see it, i apologize)

This would be more of the lines in ICO: have messaging/mail available. I like to keep in touch with my "friends" on ICO and would like to let them know I am looking for more games with them. Or even just drop them a line.

From a UI perspective, the research interface could use some simple tweaks:

a) Display the number of research centers (military/civilian) that you have somewhere on the screen.

b) The research icon at the top of the main screen flashes/lights up if you're currently researching something... An icon flashing is supposed to draw your attention to it (e.g. a problem), it shouldn't be an "all's well" indicator. (unless the other icons are also lit when 'alls well').

c) There's something funky with how things are lit/unlit on the research trees. I'm not sure what it is, but it really annoys the hell out of me. Ideally I want to clearly see the difference between:
- things I have bought, and fully upgraded
- things I can buy/upgrade
- things I have the prerequisites to buy, but can't currently afford'
- things that I don't have the prerequisites for

It would also be good as you suggest to display a research queue (personally I didn't realize all of the research trees went into the same queue for a long time - a visible queue would clear that up).

good points dumbo11... or even have seperate queues 4 military civilan etc..

cause now its just one big queue which is not good at all ... there is no flexability in it at all.

the message idea is also a nice one :D

I agree with dumbo11 on the Tech Tree deal. It's hard to see what has been researched, though it just take a little time to get used to.

I'm just beginning to get used to the HUD ship icons. They did a great job on the way you can select all ships on a planet.
