Ok, I changed my mind...

I'm not seeing these mass siege rushes that everybody else seems to be suffering from on medium, even if I set the AI on aggressor. I find that rushing to the capturable mining stations gives you enough capital to bury it underneath a horde of pirate corvettes. Pirates aren't at all obnoxious once you figure out the start-up routine. I even don't mind some of the maps starting out with under-developed capital worlds. I have to eat a delicious industrial pollutant-laden crow on this one, because when I first came to this game I gave it an 8.0. It was fun, but there were a few things that limited my playtime. Now I'm at a 9.5 because all of the annoyances have evaporated with a bit of experience.

I'm sorry, Ironclad, for doubting you. I should have known better than to second guess the team (or at least part thereof) that brought us Homeworld: Cataclysm.

Kade my god you are the most humile and intelligent entity on this forum. I would kiss you, but this is the internet, it would end up as explicit images somewhere.

seriously, I dont even care that you switched to my side, but that you created a post admitting that you were a tad bit hasty? I swear, you need a statue cleaved from solid marble in your honor.

but back to the original point: your learning curve impresses me, I had much more difficulty dealing with pirates way back when than I would like to admit :P and I believe we had a similar "pirate-panic" back then.

why else do I want a marble statue created in his honor?

now unless you plan to kneel before his grace, can we get back to bickering?

i have played long time well long by term since i got the ame - 7 hours for some irrelevant sleeping and - 2 more for posting and reading only once i did encounter a raid on my planets like one evryobody seems to complain.... what did i do???? oh yes i positioned a colony frigate right next to a planet and each time they killed it i had it back online and they came back....during this time i built big fleet made alliance with few more or less powerfull AIs bribed pirates to attack only that AI who has been attacking me....result: after 30 mins of playing Ai had lost due to fact that he wa spending all his income tor ebuild that fleet from attack of pirates raids on my allmost unprotected planet
i don't realy care if siege frigate is beeing lowered since the simple fact i don't see a use of it besides from early game...and in early game such strategy seems rather n00bish

When a man puts his foot in his mouth, he has two options:

1) Humility

2) The other foot

I commend the first option (to myself as well). Thanks to the OP for taking it.

isnt it impressive how you can turn a shameful circumstance of being arrogant and hasty into a situation of great respect and honor by simply admitting you're wrong?
sadly I've long ago lost the chance to be humile, on the few, really rare occasions I try someone comes in and makes some sort of rediculous accusation with it, so I go right back to proving them wrong :P

question: does that mean we have three converts now? or only 2?
