Vengeance Upgrade on Advent Rapture Battlecruiser

Not sure where to post this. In the text for the Advent Rapture Battlecruiser, the upgrade for the Vengeance power says, "Targets friendly capital ships, frigates and structures." But the description of the upgrade says, "Whenever this ship suffers damage, the attacker suffers a multiple of that damage in return." I read this to mean that when the battlercruiser takes damage, it targets the attacking ship, which takes damage in return. If so, how does this target friendly capital ships, etc.? Does the Vengeance power extend to all friendly ships, or is this a typo in the description of what ships are targeted (or am I just being dense....)?

It just means whenever the ship that you targeted with the ability takes damage

You can target it at any friendly ship, as far as I remember it's not an AoE effect, so just the one ship.

It works well with the Advent battleship (that first one), because it has a 'taunt'-like ability that forces all ships to attack it for a while
