umm , demo in about a month, but reviews should pour in starting tomorrow...

ALSO

to the DEVs it would be nice for ONE consolidated review thread!

I personally don't put faith in any single review, I read atleast five or six to get a general idea of the game, its highs and lows and what each reviewer has to say. Thats the logical thing to do, otherwise how do you know the person that played the game had a stick up their ass or are just a fanboy?

I lost all trust in Gamespot after that whole incident with one of their editor getting fired for rumor doing a bad review of a game and the publisher complaining. I been on beta so i know the game would be good. If you want to know what the majority of the review say checks sites like metacritics for average rating of reviews.

For me after being on beta since beta 2 its a winner in my books already. I hope to be nuking some of your planets soons in multiplayer. :P

hey thanks guys, yea im going to be reading a bunch of the reviews, but my cousin is a reviewwer at gamespot, so thats why i trust them, lol

but i mean they can trash sins and i will still probably buy it,

its just that i want to get an idea of how it plays

this demo better hurry up

There's a video or two on Gamespot with Stardock's Frogboy (Executive Producer of Sins @ SD) demonstrating how the game plays out :P

im pre ordering the game. i acutally pirated beta 3 and played it 3 hours straight. cant wait to download it tomorrow from stardock.

hmm they should of released a demo before the game came out to get more people to buy the game. pretty stupid imo.. but then again the witcher had a demo after release and it was selling well before it came out.

Umm....In my opinion stupid = posting on the dev forums about pirating their beta?  :(

*begin rant*
Oh, and releasing a demo before retail release would be "demo-ing" the beta product! Counterintuitive in my opinion. Yeah, yeah I know.....the world has gone to hell and the "instant-gratification-seekers"..... oh well.

*end rant*

Not a good idea to go onto the forum of the people who created the game and tell them you stole their game but your buying it....

thats right i'm buying it. if i hadn't downloaded the beta i world have never even bothered to buy it. which is why im saying they should of released a demo to give people a taste of what the game will be like... so what if u had to wait a little bit more. after all patience is a virtue...

Once you get the final product you will see why they did not want people to base their purchasing decisions on a beta or even a demo derived from one. It really does make good business sense to do a demo after the product is finalized but to hold up a release just for the demo to get finished is not nor is it in the best interest of gamers.

If they had made a demo before the product was ready it would be based on beta code. Bad idea. Company of Heroes Opposing Fronts didn't have a demo until well over a month after it released and it still sold well. The same can be said for Half-Life 2. The only games that really need demos released before the product are huge AAA titles that cost a lot to make. Ironclad's interest is in releasing the product, they're not concerned with making up for the 30 million dollar investment.
