New Sins Trailer

this topic is about a new movie trailer for sins. what really cought my eyes on the first trailer was how the lazer beams coming from a long distance capital ship along with lots of energy balls hitting other ships was an eye opener also with how the fighters looked so freely in 3d flight was neat and imediately cought my eyes.

for being an rts veteran, those where the first thing that really cought my eyes.

when will the next trailer be out? a few suggestion for the devs if you guys don't mind me asking.

for the next trailer, i came up with an unusual stuff to use for an upcoming trailer or sins movie.

what if we would to submit our single player completed campaigne and from those submited campaigne clips, take few scene from each of those clips and use them on the next trailer.
this would be cool, i got one that uses the (~) homeworld movement tactic. this is just to show how, when and why you would use (~) movement for certain units. too bad i don't know how to submit the clips else it would be posted here somewhere.

to make it short. you have to see it to understand what i mean. anayways about the trailer without going off topic.

so what do you guys think of submitted recorded games making a trailer out of them?

Everybody should post their best in game clips on Youtube and we can make our own

Ron Perlman, he rocks...the voice in the trailer didn't bother, the music sounded a little MIDI, but that was probably just because it was early days in the development.

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\
Find the Sins folder in there, and there should be a recorded games folder

Ok, I tried my hands on some Sins video.

This is the result.

Quite honestly, it sucks. Could anybody help me with naming good programs to:

1. capture the video from the game
2. edit and cut the video
3. compress it to a size which is usable

Somebody got some tips?

All you should need is fraps, windows movie maker, and virtualdub for compression. The rest is all skill and experiance in movie making.

virtualdub

Thx, got it now.

windows movie maker

Windows movie maker? I've tried it, but IIRC it's not possible to change sounds there.

The rest is all skill and experiance in movie making.

Now, where do I download that?

I enjoyed it Vandenburg! Thanks
It's always interesting to watch the game from someone else's eyes.

You're too kind.

I've tried again and the result sucks a bit less then the previous one, so I'll call it progress.

Here's the link to the Youtube video.
