Please put gravity back into sins

It's such a cool feature and would really make sins stand out... please put it back in. The players don't even have to really do extra work to do all the simple stuff if anything it just allows for more complicated moves IF YOU WANT TO... but mostly it improves immersion by making the space combat seem a "little" more realistic.

Gravity was removed?

Do bodies accelerate towards the gravity well? can you sling shot around planets?

Do missiles and cannon rounds travel slower out and faster in to the well?

I've been told that most of these features were taken out or were not implemented. Sins should have gravity. It needs gravity.

gravity is in the game, unfortunately due to the inclusion of a max speed limit some aspects are irrelevant, such as slingshotting.

That would make little differance in term of realism, the things are traveling so fast you wouldnt notice a differance

they should take the max speed limit out... or set it a lot higher...

But when you say there is gravity... do you mean there is a pull towards the planet? How does it effect the game?

Um, the way ships move? They have to tack, plus they move more slowly when they are going away from a planet.

Generally it is currently not tweaked to matter very much, I suppose it could if there were a way to hide units behind a planet and hold them there, wait for enemy bombarders to come into range and then spring on them...

but no fog of war and such means no sneaky fun.

The effect isn't large, but ships do move faster downwell than they to back out.

its especially noticeable near stars, where getting your ships out of the grav well takes damn well near half an hour.

Yeah I hate that...

The effect should play a larger role in the gameplay, tactics, and game mechanics.

There should be whole tactics based on using gravity...

Ships higher in the well for example should have the same sort of advantage that people on a hill have over people at the bottom of a hill... Greater range and better mobility for example... and the ability to sling shot is just so completely sexy... not having that just makes me a sad panda...

karma please dont exagurate, theres only so much that can be done without totally blowing this game out of the water.

yes there are things to do to make the system better, but it shouldnt be a strategy in and of itself.
