Sins as a MMORPG

Well, if you haven't seen me around the gaming forums I'm known as a MMORPG freak. I can give a list (and did in the xfire forum) of all the free MMORPGs out there. I can even give a summary of the history of MMORPGs (i partially wrote the article in wikipedia)

I've also played many P2P MMORPG such as WoW, Everquest, EVE, DarkSpace, etc.

One look at the Sins Lore and it's obvious that this game can become a MMORPG, but not just any mediocre MMORPG, a GREAT MMORPG. One that might rival the giant EVE Online. Currently the history I've seen are substantial enough for a good background to a MMORPG, and the large amount of ships/stations/platforms also contributes to the potential. There are many worlds that a player can explore.

All someone needs to do is improve the textures to EVE caliber (if not already), implement the MMORPG standard interface and gameplay (almost all MMORPG work in a similar way). Add servers that hold over 500 people (preferably 1,000). Implement NPCs/missions, a universal war (already in game), a good MMORPG engine and finally a extensive universe to explore.

At this new age of MMORPG, there are WAY too many fantasy MMORPGs. What we need is more science fiction MMORPGs.

Just thinking out loud here

I vote we execute Lizard by torture XD

On a serious note, it is a good idea, but i seriously doubt that people here are interested in MMORPGs.

I'm not actually expecting this to happen

You can obviously tell that I really long for a good science fiction MMORPG by the post (that and I wrote my English thesis paper on the history of MMORPG and the MMORPG phychology XD).

Sins does have the potential to be a revolutionary MMORPG. But it can also be revolutionary as a RTS, so I'm happy with what Ironclad/Stardock are doing

so this Sins MMORPG would just be EVE toned down slightly...
but much better gameplay, graphics etc.

lol, if we could get all the devs that are addicted to WoW to be addicted to making a new MMORPG...

Sins as a MMO... id skip that one.

All MMO games are made very simple to satisfy those who want it sooo easy...

The way humans are going with this simplicity, we will reach the stoneage before we see flying cars
