LOL

i know the above TEC ship is an older model you guys made (remember something Blair said in a thread some time ago) so i guess the other ship is as well.

But for the planets man oh man, those are pretty. Comparing those to what we got in beta2, ours look boring

so i gotta ask my usual question... WHEN?

Soon hopefully... ironically I saw them screens awhile back, and forgot about them

Probably the full version. Awesome looking planets though, I can't wait to see what other effects you have planned.

Man those screens are old...

Watching gameplay vids I like how the planets glow and how the darkside is practically invisible (against the black skybox anyway). The textures now are good, so I hesitate to use the word better, but lets have some *different* textures.

Plus I totally think the ship in the second screenshot should be a superweapon...The Blob.

Yeah i remember the screenshot too, they are old yes, but when browsing for screenies i found them again, and i thought HEY, why dont we have those.
So posting them will remind the devs we want them, and if (god forbid) they forgot

*follows Kryo's example and casts Undeath to Death on the thread, mumbling something about necromancers*

That said, the screenshotted planets do look purdy.

omg. imagine an automated laserbeams or heatseeking missles coming out of the surface of the planet and watch it get larger as it get closer to your capital ships. talk about advance warfare.

Hegemonia had a pretty interesting planetary defense system.. they were built in the planet's atmosphere, and they'd float around, so when the attack came they would first need to converge in one spot to face the attacking ships, and then you would see a bunch of missiles/beams/plasma bolts coming up

We'll have it available on TotalGaming.net eventually. Just waiting for Dreamcatcher to get a digital download version ready for us.

I still have mine laying around here somewhere under the mess I call a desk

Of course the original Galaxy Andromeda tech demo had purdy planets as well.

Of course the original Galaxy Andromeda tech demo

I remember that game I think! It's the one that got canned not long after they released the demo right? I wanted that game so much

It did get scaled down (from the pubs PR dept description) and became Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. You can get it on steam I think for $10.
