Lore

Any chance there will be some more lore anytime soon?

It's kind of sparse and I really enjoyed reading what is available.

Yeah, I been wondering about that for some time. Hell i wish they would be real nice and let us contribute to the lore as well. I have some interesting ideas based on Greek mythology that I think would fit well in this universe.

@Yarlen - BSG is a mix of several cultures just like SG1 and both ae wildly successful - food for thought... Anyway, I was thinking story wise or more specifically character wise with some historical threads.

For example something that would involve Necessitas goddess of the destinies of mankind and mother of Atropos, Clotho and Lachesis, collectively known as "the three fates" who are also supposed to be the daughters of Erebus, a son of Chaos and Darkness who married Nyx, a daughter of Chaos. The story really would fill out the "sin" part of the franchise that is for sure. Shoot Erebus & Nyx had many other famous children such as Nemesis, Discord, Fraud and others... Lots of material to work with to be sure.

Anyway just some stray thoughts...

Ever study greek mythology? It can get really gross, cyclopes and other "monsters" were created when Uranus got his balls cut off. Not to mention that Zeus had affairs all the time.

My only knowledge of greek mythology is from Hercules the Legendary Journeys.

The real story of Hercules is very good. It is far better then the Hollywood versions.

ugh... just read about the creation of aphrodite...

does anyone else think its wierd that she was born from Uranus's testicles? just a tad odd.

not a lot...
but poking around a bit it seems like some stories describe the cyclops as being gaia's children, rather than the result of his castration.
