jumping on that old bandwagon

These slide shows looked like so much fun that I had to make one for myself.

Question: have you ever been to Italy?

How'd you know?

Actually, we flew over on my 20th birthday. The man checking our passports gave me a birthday kiss! I wish I could go back...

Nice pics and well done, SHE. I enjoyed watching them.

Glad you liked 'em. I just couldn't resist putting them up there for all of JU to see.

Nice. You're gorgeous, but I hope you already know that.

You have had some really interesting experiences. Very cool.

Thanks for sharing!

I feel the need to explain the Leprechaun picture. You see, we were in Rive del Garda, Italy for a choir competition. 23 countries were represented by 64 choirs. We were the only American choir there. In fact, we were the only American choir ever invited to compete. We ended up hanging out with the South Africans and the Irish the most... mostly because they spoke English. They were both great groups. Of course, the Irish brought along a mascot. He dressed like that for the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the parade. In this picture, taken before the parade, the leprechaun is chasing the choir director for the South African choir. Their choir was full of jr. high to high school kids, and thought this was the funniest thing they had seen. It was great to watch.

After the closing ceremonies, my friend had a sever panic attack and passed out. A friend and I decided to walk her back to the hotel. She was extremely loopy... almost as though she were very very drunk. We stopped to rest, and part of the Irish choir, complete with leprechaun, passed us. They stopped to talk for a bit, and then moved on. I looked at my friend and noticed the complexed look she had on her face. I understood right away. "It's ok, Dani." I said to her, "We all saw the leprechaun." She looked so relieved that Chase and I busted out laughing. I still tease her about it.

I wish I had cool pictures like that to post.

I suppose I could scan a bunch from my mission and make a slideshow . . .

Nah. I'm too lazy.

BTW, you look wonderful.

The only pictures I have that I could ever post are ones from my trip to New Zealand back in 2004.  Great photos, and I don't appear in any of them (making them even better!)

Nice pics SHE.  I second Texas' and SanChonino's comments... you're quite the looker.

When I first saw this, I thought you were calling me a hooker.

However, I will say thank you and that I think you're all full of something... but I'm not sure what... but thanks just the same.

When I wrote it, I thought I had actually typo'd and put hooker in by accident too!

Ok, now we really are going to have to start calling you a hooker, LOL. It's too funny to pass up.

And this many people (especially guys!) wouldn't BS you about how beautiful you are.

especially since, in a setting like this, if we didn't think so - all we'd have to do is not say anything!

Oh crap. My secret is out. Now, the whole world is going to know.

Ok then. I'll believe you. "I feel pretty. Oh so pretty. I feel pretty, and witty and bright..."

Nice photos, hooker!

This really isn't going to go away, is it?

never once saw that many of them wandering around accesible to the public,

Actually, my best friend (she's the one with the short curly hair in the Disney shots) worked for Disney before coming to college, and she's back down there right now playing Chip, Dale, Pooh, Figment... and some other characters. She knew exactly where to find them. She knows as much about Disney as I do about Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter.

We also went to Chef Mickey's the first night and got a lot of photos. So, any time it's a character in an apron, that was at the restaurant. But there's supposed to be markings on the map that tell you where character corners are. I actually have a lot of other pictures with different characters, but I took most of them out.

We were surprised by Robin Hood and a few other characters at the animal kingdom. We were sitting outside the park, eating lunch and getting ready to head to Magic kingdom, when Robin Hood and others walked out. All three of us dropped our food, grabbed our cameras and autograph books and ran to the characters. We left our purses behind and everything. "Robin Hood" was my favorite movie growing up... and I was excited as a six year old to see him.

It was fun acting like a kid again.
