Why is there a grid in this picture?

My game was peach colored too, and I forgot to take screenies.

Oh and btw Schem, I'm playing the beta perfectly fine with an old 64mb card so theres a little more leeway in the Minimum requirements than you'd think.

There is a UI option to turn on the tactical grid when you select something. Alternatively, if you hold down ALT, there are also a large number of tactical display options that will appear that includes the grid. They can be remapped in options->controls as well.

Excuse the load 2v2 single system i didnt really get many pictures of things i should have after i finally finished my 3-4 hour game...but i atleast remembered to get some

Nice pictures and story laww! You should save often incase of a crash so you can continue your game. Actually if you edit the user.settings file you can turn on autosave so you will never be more than a few minutes off from where you crashed

i had to edit it just so i could get a widescreen resolution...ill tinker with the autosave..will help and save me worries

Hmm, I kind of want a beta now...

in some of those screenshots, the asteroids are glowing, how many of you are seeing this? What video cards you running? Had this issue at home.

Reinforcements to the primary fleet rallying at an outlying outpost, after a raid on an enemy planet was rebuffed (got their all of their caps and orbitals, but the huge swarm of frigates was too much).
