Sins of a Solar Empire Beta 1 is now available through Stardock Central for those who have pre-ordered the game!  Sins Beta 1 is a compatibility test that offers up sandbox games as the Trader Emergency Coalition in single-player mode.

Beta 1 will remain open to new customers for a limited time. If you'd like to participate in the beta testing, you can pre-order the game from our store via the link below.

UPDATE: Beta 1 is now closed to new pre-order customers. Those who missed getting into Beta 1 will be able to take part in Beta 2 in a few months (your pre-order will be charged at that time).

Done... starts up, stardock movie, ironclad movie... and then nothing more then a small black box upperleft of screen.. I do hear the music of the main menu I guess.

Hi Sjet,

Downloading:
Open Stardock Central->Click Games->Click Sins of a Solar Empire->Click Install

Keys/Authentication:
Sins should auto-authenticate if you allow it through your firewall. If that fails or you don't want it to get through the firewall, you can retrieve your serial number by using Stardock Central->Tools->Lookup Serial.

Thank you for your swift reply. Unfortunately, I forgot to mention one thing. When I preordered, the e-mail address I put in was my mom's, because I was ordering with her credit card, and I thought that the address was pertaining to that. I already have an account, but from what I can see, it will only download to my mother's. Is this correct? If so, I assume that I will be able to transfer the file over to my own computer once the download is complete?

Wow. My school's connection is downloading it at about 50kbs now that its settled down...

It's all the other people who share the connection downloading pirated movies! I'm sure of it.
