Beer And Then Whiskey Is Always Risky

But what about beer and then wine?

My beer ran out but as I wasn't yet ready for bed I decided to pull the cork on a bottle of White Zinfandel that I've been saving for a while. It tastes quite good, if a tad too sweet for my tastes.

Nothing is wrong with beer and then wine. It sure beats what you usually see in bars. Beer and then WHINE.

I believe the trusty sayings I learned in college may be of help here:

Liquor before beer, you're in the clear.
Beer before liquor, never been sicker.

Oh wait, it says nothing about wine. Probably cause it was college and wine was for cultured folks!

Well, if the 'whiskey' part means you wake up with an almighty hangover, then yeah, it does work the same way. But you know, I'm not about to start my night off drinking vodka then move to beer. It just don't seem right...
