My Own American Idol!

My daughter is really interested in becoming an entertainer, namely a singer, music producer. She hasn't had any formal training, but I think she has some good talents which will get even better with practice and as the years go by!


She's been on her school choir and has appeared in several school productions! This month she's going to perform in her school's Black History show. They did a great job last year and I'm looking forward to seeing the students performance again!

She does write her own lyrics, previewed a song for me the other day. She writes a lot of poetry and stuff too! Oh definately, I'll mention to her!

I'm telling her to try out for American Idol next season! They usually come to our city early in the season, November!

Good! She's a little surprised I did this but I tell her if she wants to be in entertainment she has to put herself out there and expose herself to the world! Not just friends and family!


She's been realising this and doing her best!

I've been her fan and ecouraging her! She wants to go to FullSail, we've been there on tour, it's pretty good for what she wants to do and expensive! Hopefully and prayerfully, she'll start there this September!

Gotta admit, I wasn't expecting much...after all, I sing karaoke, and I know how people tend to overestimate their abilities.

I was very pleasantly surprised! Tell her to keep at it! She has great singing ability without overdoing it as so many aspiring singers have done. I think you have every reason to be proud.

She performed at her school's function last night and it was great!
