Scarf Progress Pics

Ok, I measured my scarf in progress today and it's right at 36". I decided to give everyone a good chuckle and post some pics of my disaster in progress.

Nice job, Mason

I'm no expert, but it looks pretty impressive to me for someone who just started out. I wish I had the patience to try, but again I might be pretty good with the yarn since my dad always said I was a knit wit.

Thanks. I guess one shouldn't expect perfection when first learning a new skill eh? I think it's especially funny looking at how bad the beginning is compared to the last several inches.

Looks great to me Mason.  Congrats.  I can see it improving and becoming more consistent as it has lengthened.

Thanks Dev. Yeah it does sort of tell the story of my developing skill.

Well, he got the last half right.

Very nice Mason!

That's a very good first piece, Mason!  I'm impressed!  Most people start out with a garter stitch scarf, but you've jumped right into ribbing and have done a very good job with it too!

Thanks Dharma, I appreciate it. The last section isn't too bad I suppose. That first section is a train wreck

The DPN stuff is on hold until I can do a bit of shopping. Was an interesting learning experience though.

On another note, I can't access JU from the main page, can hardly ready anyone or reply....anyone else having this problem tonight? I was lucky to get on the Forums.

Sorry for the hijack M!

I'm having the same trouble. No dice on the main page, only the forums are working for me tonight. Yea.

Pretty sweet piece of work...especially since I can't knit a damn thing.

Yep...only the forums appear to be alive for the time being.

Good one... I love a good pun. You had me in stiches...

I too will join the masses and congratulate you on a fine-looking scarf.
