Fun Ride To The Store

I was online, chatting with some "friends" in Palace and ran out of beer. It was just a few minutes before 11 and the store closes at 11. I wanted to get more beer and so had to move.

It's roughly 6 blocks to the store. I unchained my bent and took off. I was taking the corners in 18th and 19th gear, which equates to between 18 and 20 mph. I was laying the bent down low. It was actually loads of fun even though I nearly lost it in the one turn because there was a car coming and I had to correct in an instant. What a rush.

By the way, half way there I realized that I had left my headlight hanging on the charger at home.

I've got a friend in his late sixties that lives about three blocks from me and anytime I go to his house and know were gonna sit around on his back porch drinking beer I ride my bicycle. DON'T WANUM ME NO DWI! One thing I've learned is DO NOT EVER DRINK (even one!) AND GET BEHIND THE WHEEL! I pressed my luck on that enough when I was younger but there's NO WAY I'd dream of doing it now.

Yeah, they just have no sense of humor about that these days. I can remeber (barely) being given rides home by the cops back in the day.

I don't even own a car or pickup these days.

You do the right thing by not drinking anything and driving.

That's funnier than you know. I started to go out the door without my wallet and remembered to grab it at the last second.

Luckily it's all small back streets between here and the store. On a few of them I was actually breaking the speed limit
