Able to view AI battles?

No, at present this feature does not exist. However on the flip side it is a feature i for one would like to see as an option. Might be nice to see the AI's battle it out for a change. Maybe give the player the option from the GNN news to view the battle or skip it??

This is a great idea, what better place for video of a battle but the news. It's also easy to ignore there if you're not interested.

WOuldnt even have to show every battle in the news as that could get very tedious. Why not pick the top 'X' no. and link to them??

Being able to watch AI battles on GNN sounds great. I would love to see that option in future updates or DA.

I wouldn't mind seeing my arch-enemy getting their *ss handed to them once in awhile. But why not simple text messages, such as 'Drengin fleet #x defeated Torian fleet #x? Or messages about attempted planetary invasions? Right now there is no way to know if warring factions are actually DOING anything, other than making the 'stink-eye' at each other.

You have (potentially) unlimited access now. Max out your espionage, and you will know everything there is to know about your opponent. For fleets, and individual ships in transit, however, you will have to have them in sensor range. BTW, the only 'dumb' question is the one that isn't asked.

Yeah, I guess *every* alien battle would be a bit too much. Perhaps it could show just the battles from the 1st and 2nd ranked races other than yourself, and restrict those reports to only engagements between fleets. Bottom ranked races wouldn't have be included, as nobody cares what happens in Podunk Junction anyway.
