Supreme Ruler 2010 on TotalGaming
from
Stardock Forums
As one of the developers of Supreme Ruler 2010, I wanted to say that we're very pleased to be part of the growing 'TotalGaming' family. This is a great service that the fine folks at Stardock have put together.
I really can't add much to Draginol's eloquent journals about the challenges and obstacles that face independent strategy developers, except maybe to say that distribution systems like TotalGaming will become more and more important to PC Gamers as retail continues to get more and more Console-ated.
For those of you that have either purchased SR2010 through TotalGaming or taken a look at our demo, there are a number of resources available:
- Our in-depth forums at www.bgforums.com
- Email us at [email protected] with any problems or questions.
- Or, feel free to ask questions here on TGN's forums.
If you haven't taken a look at SR2010 yet, there's a summary of many of our review links at:
www.supremeruler2010.com/srreviews.php
(Some of them are even "ultra reviewers"
)
The reviews give a good idea of what the game is about - it's hard to put it into a single niche (Wargame? Geo-political? Realtime Strategy/Turnbased Strategy? We used to describe it early on as "Panzer General meets Civilization meets Sim City").
By the way, some folks may recognise us as having been previously published by Strategy First. Unfortunately Strategy First never checked the dictionary definition for "Marketing", and as such we've been 'under the radar'. We've taken back the rights to SR2010 and are now marketing it directly with great partners like TotalGaming, as well as continuing to work on free upgrades and new content.
