I've been on the lookout for a new kitchen table and chairs for a while now, so when I found a vintage table and 6 chairs at the thift store last week I was pretty stoked. 

It's a vintage set; I think from the 60's?   The legs are brushed chrome and the table top is a grey and white formica.  The chairs are covered in a vinyl that has a funky green and grey pattern on it.  Some of the vinyl is split and has been repaired, but I'm planning to re-cover all of the seats and backs anyway so it doesn't really matter to me.  I'm thinking that red would work well with the chrome - it would give it a 'diner' feel.  I've found some fabric that I can hem up for curtains, and I can pick up some vintage style milkshake cups and other bits and pieces at the local flea market to put on the shelf I'm having D build to go above the window. I don't want to clutter it too much, I'm trying to keep it clean and streamlined.

I'm pretty happy with it...I'll be even happier with it by the time I'm done!
