I can usually fall asleep at the drop of a hat, but there's always that one day where I get anywhere from 2- 5 hours of sleep. |
I do the same thing....every so often I just can't sleep. It usually starts when D leaves ...just can't get used to sleeping alone.
Sleep is for lesser mortals. Us rare, few, 'special' ones don't need it. You shall all cower before our sleepless power |
I see a new Superhero in the making...'The Insomnimaniac'. His powers could include being able to stay awake for ridiculously long amounts of time, and he could be immune to techniques that make the rest of the mortal snooze like babies...
"My advice to you is to start drinking heavily" -John "Bluto" Blutarsky |
Booze makes me restless. I've tried drinking to get some sleep before, and it just makes things worse. it's a fun thing to try, though!
you close all the blinds, screw the coffee, get out the BOB, and woo yourself into a sex-induced sleep. lol:) |
I did that, actually. I didnt fall asleep until after 3, and the I got up to get the 2 kids off to school...kind of walked around in a daze and supervised. Davey stayed home today, so when his siblings left for the bus, i went back to bed and slept until 9.
I don't know if lack of sleep will kill you, but, according to Salvador Dali, it will give you some spectacular hallucinations. If you start seeing some seriously f**ked up things, you can compare yourself to him and get Surreal, baby, yeah... |
Hehe.....surreal would be wicked cool!
Now, go to bed dharma! Staying awake all night isnt gonna do you any good (not like you still need to grow or anything, but hey! Sleep IS good.....) |
Sleep is very, very good....
Actually lack of sleep can kill you. Been a few recent cases in Korean PC game parlors |
Thanks for bringing your unique sense of reality and humor to my pity party, greywar! Good to see you here, btw....
those six weeks were real long |
Oh, I can imagine....when you cant sleep, time seems to go by soooo s-l-o-w-l-y.....
I think it needs some sleep |
I think so too!

Okay.....and once again, whatever.
I can empathize. The damn pain in my him often prevents me from getting any proper sleep. |
Im so glad someone understands. I think that those of us who have chronic pain have an insight into sleplessness that the general population just can't get their heads around. For me, there is no really comfortable position....sometimes I end up sleeping upright befcause laying down hurts.
Hope you get your ZZzz's soon! |
Well, I got some..a few...and I'm hoping that tonight is much, much better!
