Has the Ascension victory been tweaked with Retribution as I have lost two games recently which I was winning comfortably but lost while mopping up the last civs because of this victory condition.
While I did get a pop up about it I thought I was right because I has quite a few in my control at the time as well.
I have played a won a lot of GC3 but I don't think I have lost or won with Ascension crystals before.
