I remember reading about the 6 Shipyard Sponsors bug several months ago, at least.
I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but this is yet another endless example of something that should absolutely NEVER have happened in the first place, just from a simple programming perspective. I'm sorry but it reeks of never double-checking code, never testing things, never putting ANY thought into possible unintended consequences, and just plain bad programmers doing most of the grunt work. But of course the same people keep working on the game year after year I assume, so the bugs just... keep... happening...
A separate problem, of course, is the fact that it wasn't fixed within 3 to 7 days (at the absolute most) of being discovered, given how embarrassing it is. But then again this is a company whose leader talks about "diminishing returns", rather than how blatantly unacceptable it is that these kinds of things happen IN THE FIRST PLACE (let alone happen regularly and frequently). And now their idea of actually dealing with the bug issue was apparently to stop and spend 1 or 2 token patches focused on it, then go back to business-as-usual. So good luck ever getting this fixed. (It has commonly taken 6 months to 2 years, or never, on a lot of other fixes.)
I also don't recommend going anywhere near the upcoming expansion til a minimum of 3 months after it's first released; I would bet the farm on it being riddled with problems, sadly.
