Does anyone know if any of the old mods will work for Crusade

Hey folks,

Has anyone worked out which of the old mods will play on Crusade? I would love to ramp up the game a little bit with a couple of mods.

I know Gauntlet revised his mod and am using that already.

I do not think any mods that have not been updated for Crusade will work correctly under Crusade. Most will probably cause errors and or crashes tbh. A bunch of schema's have been changed or updated.

That is correct!

Any mod that worked for Gc3 will need to be updated for Crusade to work properly.

There is a high chance the mod will work just fine but given the differences between Gc3 and Crusade- there might be side-effects or random crashes or whatever.
If there are any and if that does not bother you- feel free to play. If that is a problem- you should contact the mod Author and inquire him or her to update it!

If you're modifying any of the game files (AbilityDefs.xml, GalCiv3GlobalDefs.xml, etc), you will more than likely want to do a quick diff (Notepad++ has the compare plugin, which is free and is fairly easy to use) on the files (modded vs. the crusade version).

BuckGodot's enhanced terraforming mod doesn't work on Crusade, but I posted a modified version that does. Look in the forum thread for his mod and look for my post in May.
