I'm not really thinking of the game length although of course it would be affected. Because the game speed is so slow all units seem sluggish in a very unnatural looking way which is less the case for the faster game speeds in my opinion with a few hours with the game.

Tatsujib: No, the whole game kinda feels like it is running at a very low fps even if it isn't,

Andre_B:  You can do it for offline skirmish but not in multiplayer games even if you're playing with friends (correct me if I'm mistaken). I don't really understand why it would be like this as I can't be the online person who doesn't enjoy playing against the AI except for when learning the basics.

Adding an option to see what players actually prefer online would be good if people actually played custom games, all action is seen in ranked.

I don't know about ranked, initially anyway, but I liked the idea of being able to select it in custom games. Out of habit I just play it at Normal and am OK with that but if some friends like it faster that is OK too.

Yeah.  Plenty of people just want to do a comp stomp so allowing them, or other types of custom games to adjust speed seems fine. Perhaps it has not been brought in yet because of a) implementing it in the start screen interface, but more importantly I assume it would require a bit more bandwidth because things will be happening that much faster/in a more concentrated fashion?
