Apologies for splatting a list on the forum, but I don't think I'll have time to properly report these. If you have any questions about these, let me know and I'll try to clarify when I have time.
- Niilo
- My Grateful Cleric cannot use Divine Shield or Blessing at the beginning of battle ever since I got her Initiative boosted.
- Slough the Boglord's ability, Clamping Sprouts, doesn't wear off after two turns like the description says. The target unit appears to be immobilized indefinitely.
- My falcon has 5 rings of the scout and they all stack to give him super sight (6th ring is for movement, in case you wanted to know). Part of me thinks this is a cheap way to get around having to explore. Another, bigger, part of me likes not having to micromanage the exploration of a bird that cannot fly out of reach of enemies.
- Units with sight extension sometimes start (after loading a game) with normal site. You either need to move them or doff/don one of said items to get the extended sight back.
- The Swamp Giants, my ally, are damaging a shard that is in their territory whenever a unit of theirs ends its movement on it. I know they're supposed to be dumb, but my assumption is that, as my ally and not the SK's, they'd refrain from doing so.
- Tile yields that show the ability to settle cities sometimes disappear when I scroll up or down (changing the map appearance). Occasionally, one or two tiles out of a large contiguous group may reappear. Mousing over the tiles will give the "Can Build City" text, but I haven't yet found a way to bring back the tile yields so that I know what my best options are.
- Game Saving: When double-clicking a save file to initiate the save process, the second of those double clicks will be captured by the options window. This can result in options being changed inadvertantly.
- There is no Restore Land spell with Geomancy.
- Some unit descriptions (as seen in the Unit Details window) are cut off after the second line, though there are many descriptions that are longer than two lines and show up fine. For example, the Destroyer Elite shows "An experienced barbarian atop an experienced horse. He's ruined many da...". I can see no way to get the rest of the text to appear.
- I haven't had anything spawn from the Resource Harvesting ability in about 100 turns.
- The invulnerability from Divine Shield doesn't work against all attacks (it seems like the failure is linked to swarming attacks). Yes, I'm taking into account the short duration (I've had an attack repulsed by the Shield, then an attack hit, then another attack repulsed).
- A Bandit unit I won through a quest is said to have the Imprison spell. I don't see this ability when in combat.
- Eyes of the Eagle says it reveals a 6x6 area, but it is actually a 7x7 area.
- With the exception of inexperienced units, the Smite ability seems to be a worse option than a normal attack (e.g. my Slough the Boglord is one-on-one vs a unit of Urxen. A normal attack shows 17-20 damage. Smite shows 10-11 damage). I've confirmed that this isn't only the predicted damage but also reflects what happens when I attack. My ranger's Lethal Shot ability also suffers this problem.
- The Shadow Heart crafting ingredient is said to make enemies lose their next turn when they attack the owner. I put this ability on my main combat unit (Varda the Slayer) and it has never affected an attacking unit in all the many times it's been hit.
- I have two Venomous Short Sword crafting recipes with one ingredient that is different between the two. Not bad to have options, but seems to be overdoing it for a game with already a lot of recipes available.
- It can be really hard to select enemy units/squares when my Slough the Boglord unit is next to them (I haven't had this problem with other large units).
- Clearing a Sorcerer King Garrison gives text starting with, "Though most of the bandit's equipment...". I'd expect text specific to the garrison.
- Ray of Judgement -> "Target is out of range." (even though it is within a three-square radius) -> click -> "Cannot hit friendly targets with this ability."
- Peregan the Ranger's Quickfire skill is actually detrimental. Not only is his initial attack controlled by the AI, but it also moves what would normally be his first turn. Under the AI, Peregan will almost always move backwards then shoot at a target that may or may not make sense. And then he loses his first attack, so it's a long time before I can do something more useful with him. I've verified this last one by comparing his initiative value to others in my army, and there are some who go before his next move with their lower initiative score.
- I got two identical champions who are Keplin the Mage. Order of events: Found a statue of Keplin and got the subsequent quest -> Attained the "Recruit Hero" sovereign ability and was given Keplin -> Completed the Keplin quest and got him again.
- A single unit of darklings started attacking on of my shards. Though I see their unit icon on top of the shard (in both map views), I cannot select them nor can I attack them. Moving a unit onto the shard does nothing. They were gone the next turn, not sure where. Perhaps they were killed by my outpost but the unit icon remained?
- Casting Ray of Judgement on an Umberdroth did no damage and increased its Defence value!
- An alert icon on the Crafting button can indicate that you now have the materials to produce a certain item. However, there is no indication which item that is in the list, and makes it essentially useless after the initial stages of the game when there are dozens of recipes.
- The falcon cannot fly over chasm territory.
- Recipe for Longstrider Boots didn't have the item name (in the initial loot acquisition pop-up).
- It would be nice to know what turn it is when in the city screen - the top/middle info bar should be active (doomsday counter, resources, etc).
- The list of icons that show what buildings are in a city quickly gets cut off. It's a bit limiting to not know all that is in a mid-sized or larger city.
- Heal Shard is listed under Unit Spells. I expected to see it in World Spells.
